IT is a historical moment for the students of Navosa Central College as for the first time in 37 years, the school has finally received consistent power supply.

The Fiji Times team was in Navosa last Friday and was caught by surprise to see and hear students, parents, villagers and teachers celebrating at the school compound.

School principal Kiniviliame Naciqa said the celebrations marked a new era at the school.

He said the electrification at the school was a dream come true for the students, teachers and parents. He said the consistent power supply would boost the education performance of the students.

"All along we have been using generators and this limited the students from learning.

"But with the consistent power supply now, students and teachers will benefit more.

"The installation of Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) power supply will enable the students to have computer classes."

Mr Naciqa thanked the past principals and the government for its commitment to assist the students of Navosa to be accessed to this service.
