NATIONAL cricket rep Iniasi Cakacaka scored 42 runs to help his Moce I side reach the finals of the Suva Cricket Association round two competition.

Moce I beat round one winners Yadrana in the second semi-final at Albert Park in Suva.

This means a new champion will be crowned next weekend for round two.

Former champions HMT Army also qualified for the final after beating Ono in the first semi-finals.

Army had been champions of in the Suva competition for the past three years until Yadrana beat them in the round one final earlier this year.

Association president Adriu Misiki said the scores were not available as teams had taken their respective result sheets with them.

This left the organisers frustrated as they had to compile the results and note down the names of the scorers and bowlers.

"All the time, the results come to me after the games but today, the teams took their results with them," Misiki said.

"This puts pressure on us organiser because we have to compile the results in one place for transparency reasons," he said.

Meanwhile, in the plate semi-finals, Moce II beat BSP Titans while Westpac Sarafui prevailed over Novotel VICC.

The bowl semi-finals saw Green Energy Oneata beat Nasaqalau and Police overcome Suva Grammar Old Boys.

The finals will be played next weekend at Albert Park.
