OLAF Allen Jr looks too good to be bad today.

With the magnificent 8 under par 136 lead in the Srixon Cleveland-sponsored Fiji Amateur Championship, the Suva golfer looks on track to be crowned the new champion at the Fiji Golf Club course in Vatuwaqa.

Allen's excellent 3 under 69 in the opening round before the superb 5 under 67 score in the second round had put him right ahead of other golfers in the annual event.

He was impressed with his performance and is hoping to maintain that today to win the title.

"It will be really interesting (today) as I expect other competitors to come better prepared," Allen Jr said.

Western hope and school teacher Roneel Prakash is on second after carding 3 under 141.

He made a poor start scoring 1 over 73 and bounced back in style to record 4 under 68 in the second round.

National Golf Association of Fiji secretary Amitesh Chandra is on third after carding 1 over 145 following 56-holes play yesterday.

The final 18-holes will be played today.
