MARIST Blue ended the 2012/13 Suva Volleyball Association (SVA) season exactly the way they started last year.
And that's with a win to cap off the season on high at the LICI Multi-purpose courts in Laucala yesterday.
The Viliame Katia-coached side defeated TOBA One by two straight sets in the super premier final to take home the $400 prize money.
With services of star players Sakiusa Boletawa, Epeli Ratabacaca and Qilu Elliot the side maintained its dominance despite a strong comeback from the premier giants in both sets.
Katia said they were lucky to win this season especially looking at the calibre of teams that joined the FBC SVA.
He said they would have to come better prepared next year in order to maintain its dominance on the courts.
"There are some good teams like Cakau and Small Brothers and we were fortunate that the season came to an end before they could get to their winning peak," Katia said.
