YOUNG Labasa defender Jale Dreloa will spearhead Fiji's campaign during the Oceania Football Confederation Under-20 playoffs which starts in Lautoka on Thursday.

Dreloa, who turns 18 years next month, was named the team captain during the official presentation ceremony for the Fiji U20 team at the soccer academy in Ba on Friday night.

He was also part of the Fiji team that participated in the OFC U17 qualifiers in New Zealand in 2011.

Dreloa captained the Labasa Muslim College team during the Courts Inter District Championship secondary school playoffs at Govind Park last year.

He will be assisted by Vatukoula goalkeeper and former Drasa Secondary School student Tevita Koroi.

The Ravinesh Kumar-coached team will have its final hit out against Lautoka at Churchill Park this afternoon.

Kumar, a former Ba coach, said they had mapped out different combinations.

"The game against Lautoka will be our final warm-up game because it is only a couple of days before the tournament kicks off," Kumar said.

"We set our different game patterns. The aim is to improve in every game during the tournament.

"We will go in with a low profile and treat each country with respect."

The match between Fiji U20 and Lautoka will kick-off at 3pm. Entry is free.
