A MAN pleaded not guilty to a rape charge when he appeared in the High Court at Suva this week.
He is charged with one count of rape.
Appearing before Justice Prabaharan Kumararatnam, the accused said he understood the charge.
It is alleged that on December 12 last year, he raped a 13-year-old-girl in Suva.
He was released on bail on Monday.
Justice Kumararatnam adjourned the matter to April 5 for pre-trial conference.
