RESIDENTS in the Suva Point Police Post jurisdiction can expect the best protection that can be offered at the moment from their residential law enforcers.
Contributions of about $5000 were made by various businesses yesterday to police staff at the post.
The post received gifts that included paint, a settee set, curtains and a desktop computer from the business houses.
Divisional manager community policing southern ASP Josevata Gasaukula said the gifts were highly appreciated and needed.
"I'd like to thank Courts Fiji Limited, RC Manubhai and Rups Big Bear for their donations," he said.
"These donations have made the police post more presentable and in regards to the computer, it will make work easier for the officers based here.
"Collecting and storing data will be easier and good data leads to planning well which will lead to the right strategy to prevent crime in the area."
Corporal Karolina Ravolaca said the gifts were great and her work as station officer would be easier to handle now.
