Update: 5:09PM THE President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, will be on board when Fiji's new A330 aircraft arrives home next week.

Ratu Epeli left for Hong Kong earlier today after accepting a call to officiate at the welcome reception that will start there on Monday.

The welcome reception will allow the airline to showcase its A330 to key members of the Hong Kong and China travel trade to increase their understanding of the airline's product and services on that route, and promote Fiji tourism.

Air Pacific executives will accompany the President on the aircraft's maiden journey home on Monday evening and will be chief guest at the welcome reception at the Nadi International Airport.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, his Cabinet ministers and invited guests will await the Presidents arrival.
