Soccer: Tailevu North clean-up

Update: 1:38PM THE Fiji Football Association is expecting a major clean-up in the Tailevu North Football Association.

The association was relegated to associate membership from the premier division last year following an investigation which concluded that the district had no system and structure in place.

Last week, Fiji FA stepped in and appointed an interim administration led by former Tailevu North president Hirday Lakhan.

"The first step is to get the players properly registered and issued new and valid licences," said Lakhan, a former player in the 1980s who was also a member of the Fiji National Rugby League.

Other office bearers of the interim committee are: Vice presidents - Gaya Prasad, Vijay Prasad, Sandip Ashnil Kumar, Pranil Kumar and Vikash Singh; secretary- Dhirend Prasad; treasurer- Deepak Lal.
