A 25-YEAR-OLD died on Monday after falling from a tree in Lautoka last week.
The man was admitted to Lautoka Hospital's Intensive Care Unit after sustaining serious injuries from the fall.
West police media spokeswoman Naina Ragigia said the man was climbing a coconut tree during rainy conditions on March 5 when he lost his grip and fell onto a concrete path.
"The man was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital and was immediately admitted into the ICU because of the serious injuries he sustained," said Ms Ragigia.
Ms Ragigia confirmed the man died at midday on Monday. Police investigations into the man's death continue. Police have also urged the public not to take any risks during adverse weather.
