YOUNG boxer Ronald Naidu is targeting a knockout win over his veteran opponent Waisale Ratu.

The two are fighting in a 6x3 bout under the Naidiri Boxing Promotions banner at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The 21-year-old is being trained by Chanchal Kumar Babba of the Mulomulo Boxing Club.

Babba told Times Sport they respect Ratu as a veteran of the sport but are targeting a win.

He said Naidu had been training regularly for the past three months and was ready to fight.

"He (Naidu) is unbeaten in his four fights with three knockout wins and one on points and wants to win this fight by knockout," Babba said.

"We are not predicting in which round we will knock him (Ratu) out but the match would end by knockout," he said.
