LEANNE Kenah failed to score a point in the final round of the Ladies Summer Cup golf competition but went on to win the title.

Kenah led with 17 points heading into the last round. She was fortunate her other competitors in Kimini Singh, Barbara Nasara and Margaret Browne could not find their winning strike at the Vatuwaqa Golf Course.

Singh was second and Nasara bagged third position after the final round of the FMF Foods Limited- sponsored event.

However, it was Sai Yee who turned the table against the favourites, winning the final round by scoring 21 stableford points.

Fiji Golf Club Ladies captain Browne said the competition ended on a high note.

"Leanne Kenah won the event with 17 points, her previous score before the final round. And both Kimini and Barbara were second and third respectively," she said.

"It was a great competition and I believe the golfers enjoyed their time despite the shower later in the afternoon."
