PUBLIC Service Commission chairman Josefa Serulagilagi has confirmed three new senior executive appointments in the civil services.
Joana Koroituinakelo has been appointed the corporate services director at the commission while Meli Bitu has been confirmed as chief administrative officer at the Finance Ministry's financial management unit.
The third appointment is that of Ana Rokomokoti who's the new counsellor at the Fiji High Commission in India.
Mr Serulagilagi said the appointments were based on experience and qualification as well as proven leadership qualities and attributes which added value to the effective and efficient delivery of government services.
As the new corporate services director, Mrs Koroituinakelo is responsible to the deputy secretary for the provision of appropriate advice and the efficient and effective management of all the business and relevant resources under the relevant law, policy and guidelines of the government.
Mr Bitu holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Central Queensland University and a graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from the Kaplan Higher Education.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in both the private and government sector.
Ms Rokomokoti is a lawyer by profession and previously worked as a Chief Registrar.
She operated her own law firm before being appointed counsellor at the Fiji High Commission in India.
