THE Nabouwalu Rd in Bua has opened to all traffic.
Fiji Roads Authority chief executive officer, Neil Cook said work to repair affected areas as a result of the wet weather condition had been completed.
However, he has asked motorists to take extra care while driving in narrow parts of the road as rain continued to pour in the North.
FRA opened one lane to traffic over the weekend as they worked on the other lane of the road. The road was closed following landslides caused by the adverse weather condition.
Workers of FRA cleared debris on the road from slips and repaired washouts to allow vehicles to pass through.
Mr Cook has stated that the closure of the road spoke of the importance of upgrading the Nabouwalu - Dreketi road.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, who is currently on tour in the north, is expected to commission the ground breaking ceremony for the $200 million Nabouwalu - Dreketi Highway upgrading work.
The $200 million upgrading work along the road would begin soon. Out of the $200 million, $90 million would be used on works this year.
It would be the largest single project on FRA's program for the next few years.
