HEALTH officials from Labasa Hospital are scheduled to drop in at district meetings as they continue to preach their message of combating non-communicable diseases.
The team will attend its first district meeting at Dreketi Village in Macuata today.
Health Ministry spokesman Shalvin Deo said it was important for the health officials to participate in district meetings because all village headmen attended.
"So, it is easier for us to make our message known through these headmen because they will take back to their villages advice and ways of preventing NCDs," he said.
"We will also attend other district meetings because we want people to know what NCDs are about and how we can prevent them and communicable diseases as well in our families, villages and our communities."
