Update: 12:55PM FIJI scouts will soon be part of a cultural exchange scheme with their counterparts in South Australia.

This was announced this morning at a press conference hosted by the Fiji Scouts Association, which is discussing a mutual partnership with Scouts South Australia (Scouts SA).

Scouts SA chief commissioner Chris Bates said they hoped to be able to provide a simultaneous cultural exchange for scouts from both countries.

"As well as this, we hope to bring resources from Scouts SA to help in any way possible here in Fiji, hopefully in rebuilding, in helping with trainers and eventually form something that will last a long time," Mr Bates said.
