Two goals each in both halves gave Suva a comfortable 4 - 0 win over Navua at Lawaqa Park yesterday during the Fiji Sun GP Battery National Football League series.
Striker Samu Drudru netted in two goals in the 15th and 18th minute while Sanni Issa contributed another two goals in the 49th and 66th minute of the second spell.
The capital city boys performance throughout the 90 minutes period was impressive and the crowd loved it.
Their strikers led by Issa often bombarded the Navua goalmouth and Navua goalkeeper Sheik Mosain worked over time to avoid more goals by the sharp Suva strikers.
The white's midfielders combination with the strikers was spot on as they normally used the whole paddock to tire the defenders and then zoomed in some bullet shots which rattled the Navua defenders.
This was quite evident with Issa's second goal after their midfielders and strikers controlled the ball with some crisp passing for about 6 minutes before Isaa fired home his team' 4th goal .
However Navua had their moments too with hard working striker Inia Roko threatening the goalmouth with some attempts but all sailed over the cross bar.
Navua could have scored 3 simple goals with only the goalkeeper to beat but over-eagerness or cheers from the crowd diverted their attention and concentration.
Suva soccer boss Mahen Prasad was a proud man after the game.
'This is a good sign as we gear up our preparation for the coming Fiji Fact tournament.' said Prasad.
He said his side's recent trip to Australia had really improved their general play.
The capital city side recently returned last week after playing 5 games, winning 4 and lost 1.
Meanwhile Prasad has asked all Suva soccer clubs to pay their $300 affiliation fees tomorrow,
'Also all club representatives are requested to be at the Power Electrical office in Samabula this Wednesday at 6m for a meeting,'
