FULLBACK Marika Banuve starred for the Tilak High School under-18 team against Nadi College during the feature match of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Western Conference competition yesterday.
Banuve scored a try and nailed two conversions to guide THS to an 18-0 victory and retain the Volau Trophy at the Ratu Navula Secondary School ground.
FNRL development officer Semesa Cadrakilagi said the U18 fixture proved to be one sided with THS dominating possession. He said a scout from the New South Wales Rugby League country region witnessed the fixture.
"Marika had an outstanding game. The other standouts for THS were prop Jone Koroi and lock Lekima Vuda. THS played as a unit combining well."
