APISAI Lala etched his name in the history books after breaking a 26-year-old record during the Nasinu Secondary School inter-house on Friday.
And Tovata House rolled on to claim their fourth title in a row.
Lala of Tanoa House threw a massive distance of 39.99 metres in the senior boy's discus erasing the old record set by Setareki in 1986.
Tovata's campaign was led by sprinter Avenai who scooped a double in the senior grade sprint events.
The Form Six student was also named the best athlete while Sowana Geli was named the top female athlete.
Geli won the senior girl's javelin and discuss events.
Tovata won 22 gold medals and Qaraniqio bagged 17 gold to claim second spot. Tanoa was third with 12 gold medals.
Tovata was also named the most disciplined house.
Nasinu school teacher Taniela Vakamoce said Tovata had reigned in Nasinu for the past four years.
"We finished the inter-house on Friday.
"The event started on Monday with some field events and Friday was just a wrap-up of all events," he said.
"This is the fourth year Tovata has won the competition. Congratulations to them."
