A GROUP of residents in Labasa has complained of the intermittent water supply following last week's adverse weather conditions.
Residents of Bocalevu and Tabucola areas, outside Labasa Town, have been receiving irregular supply since last Tuesday.
Nirmala Deo said they were without water for two days.
"On Thursday, water started coming in the morning then it stopped again and until today (Friday), water is just dripping from the taps," she said.
"We have asked the Water Authority of Fiji and they said the heavy rain and flash floods affected their pipes that supply us with water.
"We had to hire trucks to the homes of our relatives to fill up our water containers because the water dripping from taps was not enough."
Fellow resident Usha Wati, said they were without water since heavy rain started in her area.
"We are lucky because of the rain which has supplied our water.
"We fill our big drums with rainwater but there was no water from the tap from Tuesday and Thursday, only little water we received from taps," Mrs Wati said.
"It is not enough for my family and the WAF has not sent any truck to cart water to us."
Questions sent to the WAF remained unanswered.
