THREE players from last year's Hong Kong winning team were named in the 16-member Digicel Fiji 7s squad last night.
Inspirational skipper Setefano Cakau, Ilai Tinai and hard-hitting Nemani Nagusa are the survivors of last year's winning side.
The trio are favoured to retain their spots in the final 12-member team which will be named next Tuesday.
Levani Botia, another player who was part of Fiji's 12th record win in Hong Kong, missed the cut because of injury.
Donasio Ratubuli and Leone Nakarawa were the only new inclusions in the squad.
The other players were part of the 16-member squad to the Wellington and Las Vegas tournaments.
Digicel Fiji 7s head coach Alifereti Dere said he would name his final team next Tuesday.
Nadroga scrumhalf Sakiusa Gavidi and Suva's flyhalf Emosi Mulevoro are top contenders to replace star playmaker Joji Ragamate who ruled himself out from the team to concentrate on his recruitment with teh Fiji Corrections Service.
Yesterday, the team had another training session at the Nasova grounds.
Fiji is drawn in Pool D with Canada, Spain and hosts Hong Kong. The tournament will be held from March 22 to the 24.
