DIGICEL Fiji 7s head coach Alifereti Dere will name his 16-member team to the HSBC Sevens World Series tournament in Hong Kong and Japan today.
Currently, the former national sevens rep is monitoring the performance of the players in his 21-member squad.
Players like Setefano Cakau, Lepani Botia, Nemani Nagusa, Sakiusa Gavidi, Eremasi Benito, Osea Kolinisau, Samisoni Viriviri and Ilai Tinai are expected to be in the final 16.
Dere said he would name his final 12-member team next week.
He said some players were nursing niggling injuries which were not too serious.
Fiji is currently on fourth position on the HSBC IRB Sevens World Series points table.
New Zealand still maintain a strong lead heading into Hong Kong with 93 points, South Africa, 73, Samoa 71 and Fiji on 66.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held from March 22 to 24.
