THE Topline Volleyball Association will be fielding development teams in the annual Vanua Challenge which starts in Suva today.
The TVA had requested the organisers to shift its pool matches to tomorrow in order to get all players across to the Central Division.
TVA president Ratu Viliame Naulivou said the Vanua Challenge would serve as a learning curve for their players.
He said the Topline teams had been boosted with a last minute sponsorship from Islands Electric Wholesalers.
Ratu Viliame said the recent rainy conditions had affected their preparations.
"We don't have any big name players so we will be entering young players. This is part of our development program. We are grateful to Raymond Singh of IEW for providing us the uniforms."
"Kadar Buksh has stepped in to provide transportation. One of our ladies teams will don the Tanoa Hotel uniform as they were our sponsors for the Western Rally Championship. We will be leaving for Suva tomorrow (today) and are grateful that the organisers have pushed our pool games tomorrow."
The Topline teams have been training at the Natokowaqa PRB court in Lautoka.
The court was constructed in partnership with the Natokowaqa PRB Youth and the Lautoka City Council as a community based project last year.
