THREE men charged in relation to the theft of about $71,000 worth of Biosecurity Authority of Fiji cheques were taken into custody by police yesterday after being granted bail by the court. The Suva Magistrates Court granted the trio bail however, they were arrested by police again for more questioning. Salesh Chand Chaudhry, Ronal Rohit Kumar and Kamlesh Krishna Kumar appeared before Magistrate Chaitanya Lakshman. They were each charged with a count of theft. They are alleged to have stolen government cheques belonging to the authority and used them to buy items between January 13 and 26 this year. The case has been adjourned to April 4 for mention.
