AS the weatherman signalled that showers should clear in the Western Division by tomorrow, the Fiji Roads Authority said only 14 thoroughfares remained closed to traffic yesterday.
In a statement issued through the Information Ministry, the FRA said most roads should be cleared and opened to all traffic by this afternoon.
In Tavua, the Koula, Naseyani, Dramasi and Vutuni roads were closed to all traffic.
The Nadelei, Rukuruku, Yaladro, Lakalaka and Malele roads were open to four-wheel-drive vehicles only. In Ba, the Vutuni, Maranitawa and Toge roads were closed while the Koroboya Rd remained open to 4WD vehicles only.
In Lautoka, part of the Saru Back Rd remained closed to all traffic because of flooded Irish crossings.
The Nasesevia Vunamoli Rd in Nadi was open to light traffic only.
In Sigatoka, the Bukuya crossing and Nasivikoso crossing on the Sigatoka Valley Rd, Nasau, Tilivalevu and Nasovotava roads were closed to all traffic.
The Narara and Korotale roads in Rakiraki were inaccessible.
