Update: 1:10PM RAKIRAKI Town Council interim special administrator Seini Raiko said it is business as usual at the sugar-producing centre.
However, she added that once the Naqoro Flats are flooded, the town would be closed and businesses asked to relocate stock to elevated areas.
"At the moment, we are monitoring the Nakauvadra River and also keeping a close eye on the flats. Because these are the two access ways into the central business district area," she said.
