REWA suffered a setback ahead of its National Football League match clash with Lautoka on Sunday.

Three of its key players in Lorima Dau, Peniame Drova and Menusi Senibuli will miss one game after they picked up their second yellow cards at Subrail Park last week.

And injured trio of Epeli Saukuru, Iosefo Verevou and Kevin Singh are waiting for medical clearance from the injuries they sustained in Labasa.

Rewa soccer coach Marika Rodu said they might miss six key players against Lautoka.

"We will start our preparation again at this stage. We will miss Dau, Drova and Senibuli for their yellow cards, that is confirmed.

"But for Saukuru, Verevou and Singh they will wait for the clearance from our physio," Rodu said.

He said the six players were sure starters in his line-up.

"This is tough for us since the game against Lautoka will not be easy. We are hoping that the injured players will recover to strengthen the team.

"Otherwise we got players in the squad who are capable of playing at this level.

"This is an opportunity for them to prove themselves.

"They have not had a lot of game time, I believe this is a good time where they can deliver the goods," Rodu said.

The Delta Tigers returned home from Labasa with four points in the bag last Sunday.

The Rewa and Lautoka game kicks off at 3pm on Sunday at Churchill Park.
