FOUR Pacific women will receive training in Liberia next week as part of a scholarship program aimed at developing women peace-building leaders.
Priscilla Singh and Alita Waqabaca from Fiji will join Jerolie Belabule and Philma Zaku from Solomon Islands and are expected in Monrovia, Liberia, next week where they will be co-hosted by staff of 2011 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Leymah Gbowee's peace foundation.
"The women are excited about the opportunity to visit Liberia and possibly meet with women who were part of the movement that successfully advocated for and lobbied for peace in that country," said Pacific Centre for Peace-building (PCP) executive director Koila Costello- Olsson.
