THE Fiji Warriors side has shifted its focus to its second match in the Pacific Rugby Cup (PRC) Australian against the Brisbane Academy this Thursday at Ballymore, Brisbane.
Following the postponement of the Warriors opening match against the Junior Waratahs last Friday because of adverse weather, the Inoke Male-coached side remains focused on its goal of winning its fifth PRC title.
Fiji Rugby Union coaching director Franck Boivert confirmed the match between Fiji Warriors and Junior Waratahs would not be played altogether.
This means the national side would play only two matches against the development Super Rugby franchise from Australia.
Boivert added while the cancellation might not help with the exposure of the new players, it would give the team more time to prepare for its remaining matches.
The Warriors will play Rebels Development on March 12 in its final Australian leg fixture.
Tonga A and Samoa A are also playing in the competition.
