THE new officials in charge of the Fiji Squash Association aim to bring about major changes during their term in the office.
Seven people were officially elected to the association during the annual general meeting last Saturday.
Ravi Singh takes over the post of president from Edward Roxburgh and he said they were looking at the development of the sport among the younger players.
"A key point discussed during the AGM was moving squash to new levels with more national and international competition," Singh said.
"Also we want to promote squash at junior level and increase the participation in events that will be held," he said.
He added they were looking at bringing about changes to their constitution for the betterment of the sport.
"The constitution which has been in existence for the past 40 years will need some changes to help the sport move forward."
The new vice presidents are Eremasi Matanatabu, Fili Lesuma, Bruce Southwick and Pranil Singh.
Matanatabu, based at Northern Club in Lautoka, will look after the sport in the Western Division.
The new treasurer is Kee Fong while the new secretary is Semisi Biumaiwai.
