YOUNG Josua Tuisova silenced his critics with a superior display during the Nawaka 7s at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.
The Tokatoka Resort Westfield Barbarians One rover was at his best during the tournament, capping off with a brace of tries in the final against the Tale Barbarians.
Tuisova was dropped from the national 7s team after picking up an injury during the Wellington 7s and was rated by former Fiji 7s assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo as one of those who faced a stage fright in New Zealand.
Westfield Barbarians One coach Epeli Lagiloa said Tuisova had matured as a player.
He revealed that Tuisova had been given a special recovery program.
"It is pity what happened in Wellington because of his injury," Lagiloa said.
"We had a special recovery program because we really needed him to be fit in the Nawaka 7s. He showed up well."
Tuisova was injured in the opening match of the Wellington 7s against Scotland which Fiji lost 12-14.
