Delta Tigers move clear of danger zone

REWA proved too strong as it defeated Savusavu 4-1 in a National Football League match in Subrail Park yesterday.

The result saw Rewa move to fifth spot on the points table with nine points.

Rewa drew first blood through James Naka in the first 30 minutes to 1-0.

Savusavu's efforts to hold off the Delta Tigers proved futile as Robert Taso scored another goal in the 44th minute before Naka netted his second two minutes later.

The visitors led 3-0 at the end of the first half.

Savusavu's numerous attempts to score paid off in the 81st minute through Vikash Chand as they trailed 1-3.

Rewa's Shelvin Prasad sealed their victory.

Rewa's assistant coach Ravuama Madigi complained about the ground condition saying that his team did not play to its fullest ability.
