HYDERABAD, India - Australia cricket selectors are expected to have an unchanged line-up for the second Test against India starting on Saturday, although skipper and selector Michael Clarke has yet to make a formal announcement.

Pace bowler Mitchell Starc is likely to hold his spot despite failing to make a breakthrough in the first Test in Chennai where India claimed an eight-wicket win on Tuesday.

Offspinner Nathan Lyon, who copped a hammering from India's batsmen and returned figures of 3-215 and 1-29, is also believed to have held his spot despite a push from back-up spinner Xavier Doherty to win a recall at the expense of either a paceman or Lyon.

Clarke spoke to reporters before training on Friday but said selection had yet to be finalised.

"Those suggestions (in the media regarding an unchanged side) would be incorrect because we haven't picked the XI yet."

"We pick it today at training and I will probably tell the boys after training. There is a consideration of playing an extra spinner. We're looking at how we are going to take 20 wickets and how we are going to score enough runs.
