ABOUT 500 people participated in a morning walk organised by the Westpac Banking Corporation yesterday to ensure wellness.
The event in Suva was supported by physiotherapists who participated in the walk and provided free expert health advice, with the Ministry of Heath's Wellness Unit conducting medical checks.
The bank's partnership with the Ministry of Health's National Wellness Unit and the Fiji Physio Association was renewed last month to join forces with the unit to create awareness on the effects of non-communicable diseases and advocate for prevention through healthy lifestyles.
Westpac general manager, Adrian Hughes said the partnership would help lead to a healthy nation.
"Keeping well and healthy is the surest way of preventing NCDs," he said.
