BLUE House reigned supreme during the Nausori High School inter-house competition at the school grounds in Waituri, outside Nausori yesterday.
Twenty-four gold medals was enough to ensure the Blue flag flied high against Yellow, Red and Green houses.
Yellow House settled in second position with 15, Red 14 and Green 12 gold medals at the one-day event.
School principal Praveen Chand said the inter-house was a huge test for their elite athletes who were preparing for the Triple N zone.
"Our inter-house was a success, congratulations to Blue house for winning and I believe the other houses also gave their best," he said.
Chand said their next focus would be the Triple N Zone.
"We have named our elite squad and they have done really well at our inter-house competition.
"This event is our build up to the Triple N Zone. We want to improve our performance in the zone competition. So this event is a good testing ground for our athletes prior to the zone," Chand said.
Osea Dreketirua and Rasela Diginaua were named best athletes during the meet. Dreketirua won the senior boy's 1500 metres, 3000m and 400m finals while Diginaua won the senior girl's 800m, 3000m and javelin events.
Ilaisa Waqabaca was the blue ribbon recipient winning the senior boy's 100m final.
