DEFENDING champion Browning Bombers will face last year's semi-finalists First Touch in the feature match of the Fiji Touch Association (FTA) round two weekly games today at Furnival Park in Suva.

Bombers, the top contenders in the men's grade, was supposed to play PFD Raiders last weekend but won the match by default after the latter failed to turn up for the match.

FTA games organising committee member Josua Satavu said the side would face an acid test against First Touch which proved one of the consistent teams last season.

He said in other feature match, Raiwaqa Flyers would play Roosters in the mixed grade.

"Flyers are the defending champions in that grade while Roosters reached the semis last year," Satavu said.

"In the women's grade, the match between First Touch and Raiwaqa Flyers will be interesting to watch."

Satavu said they had almost the same number of teams from last year, only a decline in the lower grades.

"Mainly in the under-17 grade where we have noticed a decrease in the number of teams this year. Last week we didn't expect many teams to turn-up but surprising we noted a good number and we hope for a better turnout this weekend."

Satavu said interested new teams could also participate in their weekly competition.

The games start at 10.30am.
