Radisson Blu
Friday, March 01, 2013

WHAT a busy, sometimes challenging but overall successful year it has been here at Radisson Blu! After celebrating our 5th anniversary in mid-2012, we now see the solid establishment of our brand presence in the resort market at Denarau. Our No 1 ranking on trip advisor for most of 2012 certainly indicates that our guests agree!

Highlights of the past year were many, with the teamwork and dedication of our staff helping us to recover quickly after the floods in January, March and then Tropical Cyclone Evan in December.

It really was amazing to watch 100-plus guests volunteering to work alongside our wonderful team members the day after Tropical Cyclone Evan to assist with the clean-up. No wonder we were back up and running so quickly and efficiently!

August brought with it the arrival of a new general manager Gerard Knight, who was transferred from Radisson Gold Coast and we are already starting to see the emergence of his vision for our amazing property.

We look forward to the next year under his leadership and the continuing development of the friendly, committed team and the property. The first quarter of 2013 has had a great start with higher-than-expected occupancy and more great reviews from our guests. And we're still No 1 on Tripadvisor to-date! Our hotel is facing a makeover as we speak — a new coat of paint throughout the entire resort to keep it looking fresh and appealing.

Plans are also underway for some lobby and restaurant improvements in the not-too-distant future. So stay posted for more updates.
