Father of two pleads for forgiveness

Nasik Swami
Friday, March 01, 2013

DESHWAR DUTT, a father of two, yesterday requested the Magistrates Court in Suva to forgive him for his offences.

Mr Dutt, 27, appeared before Magistrate Janaka Bandara charged with one count of impersonation and one count of absconding bail.

It is alleged that Mr Dutt in February 2011 failed to surrender himself in custody. Mr Dutt, who had already pleaded guilty to his charges, told the court he had a pregnant wife.

He requested the court to forgive him since he pleaded guilty the first time. Mr Bandara further remanded Mr Dutt in custody.

The case will be recalled on March 27.
