LILLIAN Allen won round six of the 2013 Ladies Summer Cup competition at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa yesterday.

The mother of Fiji's top amateur golfer Olaf Allen Jr scored 20 stableford points to win the tight contest on a countback from Korean E H Kim who settled for second place.

Sereima Bale managed the third spot with 19 points in the FMF Foods-sponsored competition.

Defending Summer Cup champion, Lady Captain Margaret Browne said the competition was getting exciting as two more rounds were left to be played.

Leanne Kenah maintains the number one spot on the 2013 Summer Cup leaderboard on 15 points closely followed by Kamini Singh on 14 points each.

Browne and Allen are tied on third spot with 11 points.

"It's going to be tough. The next two rounds will be critical for the leaders as they need to win to maintain their lead," Browne said.

"Twenty-two golfers took part in the competition today (yesterday) and I'm pleased with this turnout," she added.
