NEWLY-appointed Labasa Football Association president Rayaz Khan is ready to guide the northern giants for the next four years after being elected earlier this week.
Khan was appointed to the post following Labasa FA annual general meeting at the Hotel North Pole Conference Centre in Labasa on Monday.
The former Labasa FA interim treasurer said he had the support of the association members and the players in the team.
Khan said they had set some goals earlier this season and were on track of achieving them.
"One of our aims is winning the National Football League and eventually playing in the O-League next year," he said.
"We have won the last five games consecutively so this shows we are on track with our mission."
With the transfer window opening in April, Khan assured fans all the players in the Babasiga Lions would stay with the team.
He said the welfare of the players was paramount and they were being looked after well.
"Most of the players are on payroll except for those who are civil servants," Khan added.
Khan asked Labasa fans to continue supporting the team adding "the team belongs to everyone in Labasa, and everyone should be proud of its achievements".
Meanwhile Labasa FA media liaison officer and assistant secretary Nilesh Lal said all financial members of the association were represented by their delegates at the AGM.
"Fiji FA vice-presidents Sheikh Ibrahim and Girja Prasad were also present at the meeting," Lal added.
