ORGANISERS of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu Sevens are promising a bigger and better tournament for sevens rugby, netball and volleyball teams around the country.
Tournament manager Patrick Qeletabu said invitations were open to sevens rugby, netball and volleyball teams around the country to participate in the three-day event.
The tournament will run from March 2-4.
Qeletabu thanked major sponsors Fiji Bitter for their continued support through the years making the tournament a success.
"We extend our invitation to teams in three provinces of Bua, Cakaudrove and Macuata and not forgetting teams from Viti Levu," said Qeletabu.
"The total prizemoney up for grabs this year is $16,000 which will be shared by winners of each sport. We will accommodate a total of 40 teams for the sevens rugby tournament whose entry fees will be $350 apart from the 8 teams for the under 19 teams whose entry fees is $150," he said.
Qeletabu said a new sport that would be included in this years tournament was volleyball and they were extending their invitations to all teams around the country.
"Netball is still part of our schedules and teams are invited to join as we look for ten teams with entry fees at $100 a team," he added.
Qeletabu said applications to the tournament was already open and teams were invited to apply.
