Ram wins round four

SAJESHWAR Ram scooped round four of the BSP Life Summer Cup last Saturday at the Fiji Golf Club (FGC) course in Vatuwaqa.

The day-long event had 105 golfers participating and FGC captain Kevin Maitava was impressed with the level of competition.

He said the standard was improving and new winners were being crowned every Saturday.

Ram scored 43 stableford points to win the A-grade followed by David Wong on 42 and Gurd Mar on 41, to finish second and third, respectively.

In B-grade, Eric Shandil scored 42 points to finish on top while Anare Gukilau managed second place after winning it on a countback from Mervyn Low.

Both scored 38 points apiece.

Marika Naupoto won the C-grade after scoring 43 stableford points while J H Park on 41 and Hong Xing He on 40 finished on second and third, respectively.

In the ladies grade, Lyndall Fisher won division one on 41 points while Lilian Allen took home division two prize on 36 points.

The nearest to the pin prizes went to Abdul Satter and Penisone Ganuna on the second and sixteenth holes respectively.
