Windies leads Zimbabwe

ST GEORGE'S, Grenada - The West Indies beat Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the second one-day international (ODI) at the National Cricket Stadium yeterday to take a 2-0 lead in the three-game series.

Ramnaresh Sarwan hit an undefeated 120, his highest ODI score, as the Windies reached 3-274 with an over to spare.

Zimbabwe had made 8-273 in their 50 overs, Craig Ervine top-scoring with 80.

Dwayne Bravo became only the eighth West Indies bowler to claim six or more wickets in an ODI innings. He finished with 6-43 from his 10 overs.

West Indies won the first match at the same venue by 156 runs on Friday while the third and final game will also be played in Grenada on Tuesday.
