NASINU continued its winning form with a five-star performance against Lami at the Rishikul High School grounds in Nasinu yesterday.
Nasinu beat Lami 5-2 in their third game of the National Football Premier League. Nasinu proved that they had a powerful striking force and have scored more than 14 goals in three games.
They earlier hammered Vatukoula 5-1 and edged Rakiraki 4-3 in the first two games.
Nasinu Football president Dhani Chand said Lami was a strong team.
"It was good performance from the boys to maintain our winning form. It was raining during the game but the boys managed to overcome Lami in this wet condition," he said.
Chand was also pleased with the support from the fans.
"It was raining heavily during the game but I am very happy to see the support from the fans. This is our first game at home this season and to come out winning was a bonus for us," he said.
Robert Nair struck the opening goal for Nasinu in the sixth minute. Mohd Faizal, Nathan Kumar, Maciu Tuilau and Praneel Chand also inked their names on the scoresheet.Sailasa Vosaicake and Mark Rokobuli were the goal scorers for Lami.
Nasinu leads the Viti Levu premier division points table with nine points.
