ROME - Wales wore down Italy with two second-half tries and Leigh Halfpenny added 16 points with the boot for a 26-9 victory in Six Nations rugby on Saturday.
Jonathan Davies ran in for one try early in the second half and Alex Cuthbert quickly followed as Italy sorely missed banned captain Sergio Parisse.
Halfpenny added four penalties and two conversions, while Kris Burton accounted for all of Italy's points with three penalties.
Having opened the tournament with a loss at home to Ireland, Wales beat France two weeks ago in Paris to be gaining momentum again after an eight-Test losing streak.
