3G+ coverage upgrade

IT'S all about showing team spirit for the national sevens team as Digicel announced yesterday that 3G+ coverage will be available on its network in certain parts of the Central Division.

Digicel chief executive officer Maurice McCarthy said three new data bundle offers and a handset upgrade was on the table for customers in an effort to encourage the nation to get behind the national team in the lead up to the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Russia this June.

"By making the data bundles affordable, Digicel wants to encourage 7s supporters to connect to the action and to show their support through sharing encouraging messages on Facebook and Twitter," Mr McCarthy said. "We don't want Fijians to miss out on a minute of the action and we want them to be able to share every moment with family and friends no matter where they might be.

"To celebrate the 3G+ service in the Suva central business district and Laucala Bay, Digicel is giving all its customers in the area 50 megabytes free data for the day. Digicel is also giving its customers the opportunity to upgrade their phones to the 3G_ Huawei X3 phone, which is now selling at a special price of $169, a massive reduction from its regular price of $299."
