Maciu Malo
Monday, February 25, 2013

PEOPLE in the Western Division have been advised to take extra precaution and expect continuous rain in the coming days.

West police spokesperson Naina Ragigia said parents and guardians should know the whereabouts of their children. "We are advising members of the community to seriously consider our advice to avoid accidents," Ms Ragigia said.

"We have had cases of negligence resulting to drowning and we urge the people to take precautionary measures. Schoolchildren are at risk during rainy season therefore parents and teachers should be alert while supervising the kids."

The Fiji Meteorological Services has forecasted that more rain is expected in the Western Division in the coming days.
