Officer dies in accident

A 30-YEAR old police officer died on Wednesday evening after a load of 50kilogram bags of sugar loaded on

a 10-wheeler truck fell on him in Korovou, Tailevu. Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the

truck was driven by a 25-year old man from Nausori who was returning from Ba through the Kings Road. Insp Sokomuri said the driver lost control and the cargo fell on the police officer.
