Kill suspect's name released

THE Manukau District Court in New Zealand has ordered that one of the men charged in the death of Fiji-born Shalvin Prasad be named while another is fighting to keep his name secret.

The New Zealand Herald reported that Shivneel Kumar appeared at the Manukau District Court yesterday alongside his co-accused.

Both men have been charged with the murder of Shalvin, formerly of Suva, whose burnt body was found in a rural area of south Auckland.

The men have been remanded in custody for a plea enquiry hearing next month.
