Two plead guilty

Saturday, February 23, 2013

TWO of the five men charged with aggravated robbery appeared at the High Court in Labasa yesterday.

Tevita Bulumakau and Meli Sesara pleaded guilty to the charge before judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

The court heard the masked robbers had allegedly stolen jewellery, equipment and a large sum of cash from a shopkeeper in the Wainikoro area on January 30, 2011.

The court heard that recovery was made of these stolen properties, including all the cash that was stolen during the robbery.

Justice Goundar told lawyers in the case to prepare for the hearing of the other three accused persons' case on the first and second week of March.

Bulumakau and Sesara's case will be called in court again on Monday.

The other three accused persons are out on bail.
